The Hills Valkyries played in their debut game against the @curtinsaints at their home ground of Edinburgh Oval, Bentley last night.
Starting strong with the first touch down of the game and our season as a new club we played our hearts out on the field and we’re very welcomed by our friendly competitors. 👏🏼
Round Two October 20th 2021
The Hills Valkyries played in their second game of the season last night against the @perthbroncos at Edinburgh oval, Bentley.
It was a very tough game against a very well established team and despite the score, we are all very proud of our Valkyries for battling out on the field and keeping their heads high during the Women in Sport round 💜

Round Four November 6th 2021
WINNNERSSS 🎉
Last night not only did we host our first home game but we also won our first game of the season against the wonderful women of @jetsgridironwa !
Our Valkyries flew high last night bringing home the win! We played fair, hard football stepping it up from our last game and we earned that victory! 🏆
So incredibly proud of the wonderful women that stood along side each other last night! With as much as a 25 year age gap between our oldest and youngest, with the youngest QB in the league at just 17, with two new players debuting last night and with 5 players out we did it and I could not be prouder💪🏼
As a new club we are still finding our feet. We have so much potential, so much talent and so much commitment to this game and to each other and that was evident last night 🎉
Round Five November 13th 2021
Last night we hosted our second home game against the @wcwolverinesafc ! It was a fantastic game of football against very worthy opponents. We didn’t secure the win unfortunately but we played with our hearts and held the Wolverines to a full time score of 20-0!
So incredibly proud of the wonderful women that stood along side each other last night! With a few players down this week our defence held the Wolverines to a 6-0 at half time and stopped a further two conversions of the final score. Our o-line stood tough against a bigger opposition and held their own very well while our 15 year old prodigy Ella stole the show with her incredible arm stepping into the QB role for the first time to get a taste of the action! 💪🏼🏈
Our girls worked so hard together and as a brand new team of 80% new players we could not be prouder of how we are going so far! Onwards and upwards! 🎉
Round 6 November 20th 2021
Last night we played the Titans for the first time this season at their new ground in round 6. We had a few players out with injuries throughout the game and this meant a few unexpected last minute changes and unfortunately we weren't able to secure the win this time around.
Very proud of the effort put in. We played hard, we hit harder, we played fair and with good sportsmanship. The @titansgridiron played a good game and we look forward to meeting them in the second round. Our defence held strong all game with several players swapping into unfamiliar territory throughout the game and our offence made some great runs!

On Saturday night the Valkyries went head to read for the second time against the @jetsgridironwa
Our defence held strong all game proving once more how much they are growing as players, our offence had some incredible moments, some great runs. Unfortunately we did not secure the win this time around, however we look forward to seeing them out on the field again next year 💜💚

Round 10 December 18th 2021
Last night the @thevalkyries_ took on the @perthbroncos for the second time this season 🏈
We had an incredible pre game with a Welcome to Country ceremony, the Midn Marr Dreaming Noongar dance group, and special Guests Yok Djakoorliny - Woman Running 🖤💛❤️
Whilst we didn’t secure the win, we all came away feeling like champions. ✨ The first time we came up against these reigning champions we came away with a score of 52-0. Our biggest loss this season. However, as a brand new club with 80% of our team having never played a game of grid iron before this year we put the work in, we bonded on and off the field, we put our hearts into it and we stepped onto the field last night ready to give it all…
And we did just that. Holding the @perthbroncos to a 16-8 score means the world to us and proves that we are becoming a real team and showing our power. We are so proud of our girls and thankful for all our supporters, our coaches and the @perthbroncos for having us at their home ground 🤟🏼

Last Saturday the @thevalkyries_ took on the @titansgridiron at Edinburgh Oval, Bentley. 🌍
Our team of rookies did their best in the summer heat 🔥 on Saturday, however, due to the heat related illness and injured players the game was called off at half time leaving the Titans in a 24-0 lead. Well done to all the players for their sportsmanship and showing up to play despite the heat.
